What is STEM?

By definition, “STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines – science, technology, engineering and mathematics.” This program of study serves to train and educate students, beginning as early as preschool, in these four core subjects which in turn drives economic growth in the U.S. through the development of a strong STEM workforce. What sets STEM schools apart from other learning institutions is that in addition to the traditional academic concepts, students participate in hands-on lessons applicable to the real world.
